This was one of the most challenging roles to cast for the film, but at the end of the day, we got the best man for the job, Michael Worth! He's not only a fantastic actor, but also a writer, director, producer, and stuntman! His intensity jumps off the screen, even in moments of calm. I'm feeling pretty lucky with Michael Worth and the rest of the cast.
But before we got here, the road wasn't so easy. We made offers to a variety of actors last year, auditioned several in November and the one we selected, ended up not being able to do the project and actually forced it to push. Not entirely a bad thing, since we were able to raise more money, and find a better replacement.
The biggest challenge came from having two great choices. Michael Worth (who literally blew us all away the first time we auditioned him), and Jeff Kueppers who several of us worked with on "The Wedding Video". Where Michael brought intensity, Jeff brought sensitivity. Both were great choices, but in the end I chose Michael for several other reasons.
His energy and dedication to this craft is incredible. Although very knowledgable and a director himself, he easily transforms to the actor, working for the piece, and is supportive of my vision. He's also got the best personality! Along with all that, he and Michael Gross have significant chemistry that I'm excited to see translate on screen.
Really looking forward to working with such a stellar cast!
