As it turned out, our fellow producer, Sandy Robinson, became the hero of the film, not only providing the main bathroom location and young John's room, (generously agreed to by she and hubby Rob), but she also found an outside location from her friend, Bill Lewis, that served as our "mental institution bathroom" and the "shock room" the film flashbacks required.
To add to her incredible location scouting, she also assisted production designer/writer/director, Linda Palmer in making curtains and set dressing the rooms. And as if that weren't enough, she got her first acting opportunity as young John's mom, in the film. And there's more... we needed a security guard at the "mental institution" location and the costume didn't fit Mark, so she discovered that the foreman there, Todd Marshall was the perfect size and proceeded to talk him into a guest role and he even shaved his beard for it!
A huge thank you to Sandy, for making my life easier and giving the film a super unique and authentic look.
